The Nano Puff is one of the most classic mid-layers on the market and is so well-represented that we’re frankly surprised you don’t have one already.
This synthetic-fill jacket earned its reputation for maintaining both a low-weight and impressive warmth ratio for a garment of its size. Combined with great packability and a soft interior that doesn’t irritate skin, you don’t have any excuse not to bring your Nano Puff along for your next adventure.
While not as warm as a traditional down jacket and not as breathable as a knit mid-layer, the Nano Puff is nonetheless a great piece of gear. It might not be the best choice for high-risk technical endeavors, but in that case, Patagonia has plenty of alternatives available. We believe it deserves a place in anyone’s outdoor kit and coat rack for urban and wilderness exploration alike.
Things we like:
-
Incredibly well-rounded jacket great for outdoor and urban use
-
More affordable than most down jackets
Things we don't like:
-
Not very breathable
