The Sheeva series is Blizzard’s flagship series for women’s freeride. Borrowing from proven freeride models, the shape of the Sheeva 11 is instantly recognizable to anyone who’s seen a pair of the Rustler 11’s on the hill, though there are some important distinctions when it comes to the build.
These differences are mainly material- the Sheeva’s core is retooled specifically for women with a lighter, more responsive feel than its counterparts in the Rustler series. Normally you’d expect this lower weight to come at the cost of downhill stability, but this change scales with anticipated differences in size and weight so the Sheevas can ski just as hard as any other model in Blizzard’s lineup.
The Sheeva lineup as a whole is built for advanced to expert women who want a ski that can keep up. The Sheeva 11 translates this to a deep-snow focus. At 112 mm underfoot, you’ll have no problem planing out when the snow is deep enough to float on. Coupled with the all-mountain attitude of Blizzard’s freeride models, they keep firm snow in play between storm cycles.
Notable Features
Carbon Flipcore DRT: A tapered sheet of titanal runs the length of the ski, thickest and most supportive underfoot then gradually thinning out towards the tips and tails where it is replaced by carbon inserts. The end result is a ski that weighs less, with more playful and forgiving shovels that still can hold an edge when called upon.
