The Venture 2 Waterproof Hooded Jacket is a surprisingly versatile jacket that can take on a number of different conditions. It works extremely well as a rain jacket with 100% waterproof materials, it can be layered up to use as a midwinter shell, and it works great as a light spring or fall jacket.
It’s a perfect jacket to throw in your car as a just-in-case option. How do I know? Because I have one in the backseat of my truck right now.
The waterproof membrane keeps you dry while still offering decent breathability, and it features underarm vents that aren’t always available on lighter jackets. It also features an adjustable hood, velcro cuffs, and a storm flap over the main zipper, it also easily stores away in your pack for unpredictable weather.
The best part? The price is very affordable, especially for a fully waterproof North Face jacket that looks sharp and functions well in a variety of conditions.
